Case 9 (Political activist)

Mark is an activist in the "Beer' Lovers" - party. In his opinion the party policy is too conservative, so he devotes a lot of time and activity to changing it to a more liberal policy. Unfortunately, the party's leaders ignore Mark's propositions and efforts.

One day Mark decides to start his own party - Liberal Party of Beer' Lovers". To compete with the conservative party, he decides to use principles of "Affiliate Network Marketing". He expects that this will help him to attract many members to his party in a short time.

June 2001	New members, income, and payments	Mark registers 200 new members on the second level (each old member referred 10 new members). Members on the first and second levels pay membership fees ($10 per month) -of $2,200. Mark pays $100 to the members on the first level and has $2,100 income to the party fund.
July 2001	New members, income, and payments	Mark registers 2,000 new members on the third level (each of the second level's members referred 10 new members). Members on the first three levels pay monthly membership fees of $22,200. Mark pays $1,700 to the old members and has $20,500 income to the party fund.
August-October 2001	New members, income, and payments	Mark registers 10,000 new members on the fourth level (each of third level's members referred 5 new members). All members pay monthly membership fees of $10 each. Total=$122,200. Mark pays to old members $10,700 and has $111,500 income to the party fund.

Results:

In less than seven months Mark has organized the party and attracted to it more than 12 thousands members who contribute to the party fund more than $111,000 monthly.
