Here you will find: Stickums Data PathStickums usually saves its data in the directory "data" under the directory where the program is installed. So, for example, if the program is in "c:\program files\stickums", all the saved data would be stored under "c:\program files\stickums\data". But this can present a problem if more than one person uses the program on the same machine. Hence, you may choose to save your Stickums data in an alternate
directory. To save in a different directory, follow these steps (let's
assume you want to save to "c:\stickumsdata"): Stickums Program ComponentsStickums Main Menu A diagram describing Stickums Main Menu is shown in Figure 1a. Most
of the Stickum program's main functions can be accessed from the Menu.
Desktop StickumsA diagram describing a desktop stickum is shown in Figure 2. The toolbar on the bottom of the stickum may be turned on and off. All of the functions on the toolbar are also accessible by clicking on the Stickum program icon in the Titlebar.
NoteStack StickumsA diagram describing the NoteStack is shown in Figure 3. Note that all functions on the NoteStack Toolbar and those accessed by clicking on the Stickums program icon in the Titlebar apply only to the currently selected stickum.
Stickums Program OptionsThis is discussed in the next section, "Program Options". Creating, Editing and Deleting StickumsThere a few ways to create stickums. If the Main Menu is minimized, then double-clicking on the Stickums program icon in the System Tray will create a new desktop stickum. Clicking on the "+" key in the Toolbar will create a new NoteStack stickum. Please consult "Creating A Stickum" for more information. Click on the stickum text window to edit it. The date and time stamp window will change to "Editing ...". When you are finished, click off of the stickum (like on the desktop) or on the stickum's Titlebar. The date and time stamp window will change back to normal. There are a few ways to delete a stickum. The easiest is to click on the "X" button in the upper right corner of the stickum. Please see "Creating A Stickum" for more information. Saving StickumsThe program automatically saves stickums upon program start-up and every 30 minutes thereafter, and clean program exit (pressing the "Exit" button on the Stickums Menu). Stickums may also be saved manually by clicking on the "Save" button on the Stickums Menu. Where To Go From Here |
