Product Details
RotatingBanner employs all features of a standard web advertisement banner and offers an easy to use and customizable component.
The banner works in a client-server way. Each time it needs a new image, it notifies a banner server to return an image url and link to point to, whenever the user clicks the banner. It contains a list of all banner servers that deliver images and takes each one at a time according to a specified delay.
The currently available functionalities are:
- Display Area - creates a region which supports jpegs, gifs and animated gifs.
- Web Links - the display region reacts to mouse clicks and can open links (URLs, emails, mailto, FTP, gopher, news), within the same or another browser window.
- Banner Store - The banner images along with their links are stored within a simple text database.
- Rotation Speed - the frequency at which the banners are displayed within the display area.
- Image Caching - optimizes image transfer from the server.
