MedCalc v2.0.1

MedCalc is a medical calculator for quickly determining results based on
blood and urine tests. It contains over twenty different formulas
related to heart, liver, and kidney functions. All formulas are based on
information culled from the Medical Algorithms Project (www.medal.org).

The program is intended only for educational and personal use. It is not
intended to be used for making clinical decisions pertaining to
diagnosis, care, or management. Results should be validated prior to use
and any computations obtained should be compared with, and tempered by,
personal clinical knowledge and judgment.

The program is a stand-alone application: just unzip in any directory
and run directly using Windows Explorer or create a shortcut to it on
your desktop.

MedCalc is split into two parts: the first to quickly calculate one
specific item, and the second to generate results for a multitude of
test items. Use of the first is straightforward: just select the type of
test, enter the required data, and it will generate the result. Use of
the second is also quite straightforward: enter as much data as possible
and then a dialog box appears with a list of which test results will be
shown. If a particular test result you want is not on the list, it means
a required parameter has been entered incorrectly or is missing
altogether. You can go back, make the necessary correction or addition,
and then view the list again. You can then proceed to see the results,
which can then be saved to a tab-delimited text file.

That's it. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or a bug to
report, then zap me an e-mail at <jhorv@canada.com>. Have fun.
