Keywords are like folders in Windows Explorer; they are a means of
classifying Favorites. Thus, the terms can be used interchangeably. A
new Favorite can be classified by selecting a branch from the tree view
to the left, or a new folder can be created by typing its name in the
Keywords textbox. Create a subfolder by separating folder names with a
backslash. Example:
New Folder\Subfolder. You can also select a branch from the tree
view, and add a folder to the end of it in the Keywords textbox. You can
also just type the folder name in the Keywords textbox rather than
selecting it from the tree view. If the folder exists, the new Favorite
is added there; if not, then a new folder is created automatically.
The difference between a home page and a page that's scheduled
daily
is that the scheduled page is only downloaded if you select Download
Scheduled Web Pages (OpenLinks ►
Download Scheduled Web Pages | Shift+F2), whereas home pages are downloaded every time WebSpeedReader
starts unless the Shift key is pressed, or no
Favorite is marked as a home page, in
which case, only a blank page is loaded. Weekday pages are
downloaded if scheduled pages are downloaded Monday-Friday, or, if a
weekday is included when selecting OpenLinks ►
Download Pages Scheduled Since Last Download | Ctrl+F2.
To download a page every week on a particular day, just check the
day in the Day of Week group. To download it only on particular weeks of the month, then
also check
the appropriate boxes in the Week of Month group.
Thus, to download a page every Monday and Thursday, just check
Monday
and Thursday in the Day of Week group. If
you want to only download those pages the 1st and 3rd week of every
month, then also check the 1 and
3 boxes in the
Week of Month group.
All scheduled pages can be displayed in the sidebar by clicking the
¸
tab at the top of the sidebar.
You can unschedule a page by editing it, or by right-clicking on the
page's link in the sidebar, and selecting
Unschedule | Edit from the context
menu.
Checking Quick Link in the Additional
Properties group, adds the link to the Links bar in the sidebar,
which is always displayed when WebSpeedReader starts up. It can also be
displayed at any time by clicking ∞
at the top of the sidebar. Check this box for Favorites that you frequently
access at different times, and that can't be scheduled.
Check the RSS Feed checkbox if the current Favorite is an RSS feed.
Doing so will enable WebSpeedReader to download and display the file
faster, and all RSS feeds so checked can be displayed in the sidebar by
clicking the
X
tab. When adding a feed, click Feed Folders
command button to display only folders containing feeds. Click it again
to show all folders. This is convenient if you want to store all feeds
in special folders. Doing so will enable you to download all feeds in a
given folder by clicking on the folder in the View Favorites form.
