MultiProxy 2.16 - Readme.txt
============================

THIS IS A FREEWARE PROGRAM, ANYONE MAY USE IT WITHOUT CHARGES.
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY KIND OF DAMAGES CAUSED BY
MultiProxy. BUT I MIGHT TRY TO HELP YOU IF YOU SEND ME AN E-MAIL.

Description:
MultiProxy is a "easy-to-use" proxy server for mIRC and Ch@t-Up!.
With this proxy you can allow each mIRC user to choose their very own server. MultiProxy also have functions that makes it possible to control it remotely. Doubleclick on an IP in the connections list and you will get some information about that user (server,IP,nickname).
You can kick and ban users, you can block and allow IPs, which is good if you only want users from the local network to connect to the proxy.
I recommend that you always block all IPs except those you want to allow, otherwise anyone from the Internet can use the proxy.

But how do I set up MultiProxy?
Its very easy. First you must enter the address and port to an IRC or a Ch@t-Up! server in the third and the fourth textbox from the top.
Then you set the limit for how many users you want to allow.
Now you can press the Start button and the proxy will be up and running.
But there are more settings you can change before you start the proxy, you can allow the users to choose their own server, enable remote controlling and block/allow IPs. You can find the block/allow settings under the Options menu. The easiest way to block all IPs except those in the local network for instance is:
  block *.*.*.*
allow 192.168.1.* (the three first numbers in the IP)
This works because allow has higher priority than block. So an IP that is both blocked and allowed will always be allowed.

Using and Connecting:
1. Start mIRC.
2. In the status window type "/server ", Local IP of MProxy, semicolon and Local Port of MProxy. It could look like this:
"/server 13.216.11.234:2000"
3. Press Enter. If the users are not allowed to choose their own server you should get connected directly. Otherwise a msg should appear.
If it doesnt work try reconnecting.
Dont close the msg window, thats where you choose your server and control MultiProxy remotely. The msg contains information
about how you choose a server and control MP remotely.

Chatting with a user:
If the option "Allow mIRC users to choose their own server" is checked its possible to chat with a user from MultiProxy. By clicking Options --> Chatbox you will be able to chat with the selected user in the connections list.
