Important note:  Most companies already have Microsoft 128-bit High
Encryption Pack installed on each computer.  If not, please install the
package on each client machine running Akeni HelpDesk Assist.  The package
can be downloaded from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/128bit/default.asp


Server Installation Procedure
======================

1)  The Server program must be installed on a computer that is on a
network with IP multicast support.
2)   Run "akxpserver.msi" to start the installation
process.  
3)  During installation, a system administrator account called "admin"
will be created, enter the password for the "admin" user.
4)  start the server by clicking on the icon "Akeni XP Server"
5)  Choose "File", "Configuration" to set the server port and also
various user administration features.

Web Client installation procedure
=================================
1)  run "akhelpweb.exe"
2)  After the installation is complete, launch the application "help desk Web
Assist"

"admin" account set-up Procedure
============================
1)  run "akhelpdesk.msi" to install the client. 
2)  After the client installation process is finished, there will be a
desktop icon for running the client called "HelpDesk Assist"
3)  click on the icon "HelpDesk Asist" and for the user name enter "admin"
and enter the password you have entered during server installation
4)  Create user accounts for each using by using the menu "Action" ,
"Contact List", "Create New Account".
5)  For users login-in from outside the LAN, on the login screen choose
the "option" button to set the IP address of the server


Client Installation (repeat the procedure for each computer that will
run Akeni HelpDesk Assist Client)

1)  run "akhelpdesk.msi" to install the client.  Make sure the
2)  Follow the install instruction given by the installation wizard.
3)  Click on the "Akeni HelpDesk Assist" icon and the client will launch and
automatically find the server, ready to be logged in.
4)  For users login-in from outside the LAN, on the login screen choose
the "option" button to set the IP address of the server.
