Introduction
The peerTranet + enables you to track issues (bugs) associated with software applications.
Features
The peerTranet + supports the following features:

  • Support for Microsoft Access.
  • An advanced query interface which enables you to perform complex boolean queries against the database of issues.
  • Support for issue attachments. You can upload files (Microsoft Word documents, pictures, etc.) and associate the files with an issue.
Using the peerTranet Help +
The first step when using the peerTranet Help + is to create a new project.  A project is used to group related issues. Only members of the Administrator role can create new projects.  An administrator creates a new project by selecting the Administration tab and clicking the Create New Project button which launches the New Project Wizard.

The New Project Wizard guides you through the steps required for creating a new project. For example, you use the Wizard to create the categories, priorities, and milestones that you want to associate with a project. In the last step of the Wizard, you indicate the project members. Only users who have been added as members of a project can view issues in a project.

After you create a project, you can add issues to the project by navigating to the Issue List page. You navigate to the Issue List page by clicking the Issues tab. Click the Create New Issue button to add a new issue.

After you save a new issue, an additional set of tabs appears. These tabs enable you to add comments to an issue, add file attachments to an issue, view the history of changes to an issue, receive email notifications when an issue is changed, and indicate related issues.

The Queries tab enables you to perform queries against the database of issues. For example, you can create a query which enables you to generate a report of all priority 1 issues which must be completed by the first milestone. To create a new query, click the Create New Query tab. Use the dropdown lists to create the query by selecting different query criteria. After you create a query, you can save it by entering a name for the query and clicking Save Query.

Advanced Tasks
You can choose which issue properties to show whenever you display a list of issues. For example, you can hide the issue milestone column and display the issue category column. To choose particular issue columns, click the Select Columns link which appears under the issue list.
