Fixing Common Problems

death2spam

I keep getting errors when trying to retrieve my email
First, just wait for 10 minutes or so, then try again. Certain kinds of network problems can temporarily glitch the process of fetching messages from your POP mail server, or the Death2Spam server might simply be re-starting after a software upgrade. If the D2S server repeatedly sends your email program an error message, and seems to be "stuck" somehow, try reverting your email program's configuration settings to point directly at your POP Mail Server. If the problem persists, contact your ISP -- their POP server has a problem. On the other hand, if you're now able to retrieve your email, please let us know about this situation immediately! You may have discovered a bug in the D2S server (they're rare, but they can happen). And don't worry, you won't "lose" any messages if the mail servers aren't responding correctly or get stuck.

Spam filtering is working, but no messages show up on the website
The Death2Spam service is hosted on a number of servers in various locations around the world, to improve your access time when retrieving mail. It's very easy to mis-type a URL in your browser, such that you're actually viewing the D2S web application on the "wrong" server. Make sure that the server you're using to retrieve filtered email is the same as the one you're looking at in your web browser.
