"Kill Pop-Up Ad Windows" - If Checked, WeatherBrowser Will Attempt To Discriminate And Unload Any Advertising Page Windows Launched From Within A Web Page. . The Ad Windows Will Appear, And Will Then Close, About One Second After They Are Loaded. . The Discrimination Is Made If The Page Runs A Script Which Resizes The Browser Window, Or Requests The Browser Remove Its ToolBar. . This Is Not An Exact Science, And It Is Posible To Lose Content Pages On Some Web Sites When Using This Feature. . So, Keep This In Mind If You Select This Menu Item.

.....Thin Auto-Hide Button .... If You Have Selected The Option's Settings, "Enable Manual Hide Controls" Clicking This Thin Unlabeled Button, Located Beneath All Of The Buttons On The Control Bar, Will Hide The ControlBar Buttons, Etc. At Top Of WeatherBrowser Window And The Status Bar At The Bottom Of The Window. . Then, When Hidden, If You Click The Thin Button At The Top Of The Window, The Control Bar And Status Bar Will Become Visible Again.
.....If You Have Selected The Option's Setting, "Enable Auto- Hide Controls," Moving The Mouse Pointer Away From The Control Bar Will Hide The Control Bar And Status Bar. . Then, When Hidden, If You Move Your Mouse Over The Thin Button At The Top Of The Window, The Control Bar And Status Bar Will Become Visible Again (Similar To The Auto-Hide Windows Task Bar).

.....WeatherBrowser Has A Completely Independent, User Editable, Sites Lists (Favorites). In The Options Window, The Selector Can Be Set To Either, The Single List Mode, (The Default) With Arranged Categories, Each Followed By It's List Of Site Links, ....OR The Two List Mode, With A Separate Selector For Categories And For Web Site Names. . . You Can Edit, Add, Delete, Rename The List Items In The "Edit Category & Site Selector Lists" Window.
Note: Clicking Outside Of The Selector To Hide The List Is Sometimes A Little Difficult, Since Web Pages May Be Covered With Hyperlinks And The Control Bar Is Covered With Buttons, So Clicking The Column Header Titles At The Top Of The List Or Either Of The Two Down Arrow Buttons Or The Status Bar At The Bottom Of The Browser Window Will Hide The Selector List. . Making A Selection Will Also Hide The Selector List. . Clicking The Title Bar Of The Browser Window Or Clicking Outside Of The Browser Window Will Not Hide A Visible Selector List.

5. __ A File Selector Window (Also Named "Open With...") Will Appear. Find The WeatherBrowser2.exe File (Typically In C:\Program Files\WeatherBrowser2\) . . Select It, Then Click The "Open" Button.
6. __ Then Going Back To The First "Open With" Window, WeatherBrowser2 Should Now Be On The List.
7. __ Then Click The "Okay" Button.
8. __ Repeat The Process For The Extension "HTML"
____ It's Easier Than This Lengthy Description Implies, And Once You Understand The Process, Its Easy To Change The Default Browser For .htm And .html Files, Or Any Default Application For Any File Type Extention.


History Window

WeatherBrowser's History Files And System Is Completely Independent From Windows Or Internet Explorer.

You Can Set Set The "Number Of Days To Keep Pages In History" In The "Start Page & Options" Window (Min = 0, Max = 9999). If You Have Not Set The "Number Of Days To Keep Pages In History" Equal To Zero, Then...

You Can Set Set The "Store Duplicate URL's" Setting In The "Start Page & Options" Window (Default Is Not To Store Duplicates). . . But If You Want A Complete Record Of All Of Your Navigation, Check This Option In The "Start Page & Options" Window, And A New Entry Will Be Made In The History Files, Including The Date And Time To The Nearest Second, Each Time You Visit A Page, Even If It Is Just A Page Refresh. . .Note: When Set To Store Duplicate URL's, The Hits Count Becomes Insignificant. . . When Not Set (The Default) The Date And Time Become Insignificant. . . When Changing From One Mode To The Other, Both The Hits Count And The Date And Time Become Somewhat Insignificant, Until Your Configured-Number-Of-Days-To-Keep-History Have Passed Since The Date When You Changed The Setting.

"Today" (Tab1) - Will Show All Of The Pages You Have Navigated To, Today, In WeatherBrowser2.

"Search Returns" (Tab2)
1. In The First Selector, Select The Time Period You Want To View. . All Of Your History Pages, (ex. 0-30 Days Ago, If Your History Option Setting = 30 Days), Or Just A Specific Week (ex. 0-7 Days Ago) Or A Specific Day (ex. 7 Days Ago).
2. Then In The Second Selector, Select Sort Options: "Host Sort" . . "Date Sort" . . "Host List Only" . . "Titles Text Search" . . "Url's Text Search" . . "Both Text Search" (Titles And URL's).
Note: If You Selected A Text Search You Should, Also, Enter The Text You Want To Search For In The Text Box Next To The "Search" Button.
3. Then Click The "Search" Button To Search The History Files And Load The Returns Into The Window.

History List Window Pop-Up Menu And CheckBox Functions List:

Pop-Up Menu - You Can Right Click Either, The "Today" List, Or The "Search Returns" List To Get A Pop-Up Menu With Functions:
....."Navigate To Selected URL" - WeatherBrowser Will Navigate To The Selected Address On Either The "Today" List Or A "Search Returns" List. . . Note: If You Have More Than One WeatherBrowser Window Open, The Last One Which Had Focus Will Navigate.
....."Add Item(s) To Site Selector List" - Opens The "Edit Category & Site Selector Lists" Window Where You Can Select A Category And Then Click Its "Add Selected History Item(s)" Button To Add All Addresss Which You Have Selected In The History Window To Your SiteList (Press "Ctrl" Key To Multi-Select).
....."Remove Item(s) From List (Temp)" - Removes Items From The Immediate List, But Does Not Delete Them From The Files (Press "Ctrl" Key To Multi-Select).
....."Show Selected Host's Page Items" - On Tab2, After You Have Searched For A "Host List Only," You Can Select A Host Name On The Returns List And Then Reload The List And View Just That Host's Web Page Addresses.

Check Boxes:
....."on top"
- If Checked, The History Window Will Stay On Top Of Other Windows Even If It Does Not Have Focus.
....."show time" - If Checked, Search Returns Will Show The Date And The Time, Otherwise They Will Show Just The Date.
....."dupes" - If Checked, Search Returns On Tab2 Will Show Any Duplicate Addresses From Different Days' Files (Default Is To Not Show Duplicates).
....."vis."
- If Checked, New Items Added, Real Time, To The Bottom Of The "Today" List On Tab1 Will Push The List Up And Be Visible.
....."1-click"
- If Checked, A Single Mouse Click Will Start A Navigation To The Clicked Address On Either The "Today" List Or A "Search Returns" List. Otherwise A Double-Click Is Required.


Notes:

1. Uninstall - WeatherBrowser Uses Microsoft's Install And Uninstall System. When WeatherBrowser2xp Is Uninstalled Using Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, It Will Only Remove The Directories And Files Which Were Installed During The Original Installation Process. For A Complete Uninstall, After You Use Control Panel Uninstall, You May Safely Delete Any Of The Following Which Control Panel Will Not Remove:
........a. WeatherBrowser2 Desktop Icon - Right Click It, And Then On The Pop-Up Menu Click "Delete".
........b. (In Windows XP) - In C:\Documents And Settings\(Each Username)\Application Data\ .... You Can Delete Each User's WeatherBrowser2 Subdirectory And All Of Its Subdirectories And Files.
........b. (In Windows 98) - In C:\Windows\Profiles\(Each Username)\Application Data\ .... You Can Delete Each User's WeatherBrowser2 Subdirectory And All Of Its Subdirectories And Files.
........c. If You Registered WeatherBrowser2 And Left The Register Key Text File In The Application's Install Directory, Typically, C:\Program Files\WeatherBrowser2 . . Control Panel Will Not Remove This WeatherBrowser2 Subdirectory. . You Can Delete The WeatherBrowser2 Subdirectory And All Of Its Subdirectories And Files.
........d. IMPORTANT: If, During The Control Panel Uninstall Process, You Are Prompted With Message Box Questions Regarding The Removal Of "Shared" Files. . Do Not Remove Them. . Several Of The Files In Question Are Windows Component Files And Should Not Be Removed. . When You Originally Installed WeatherBrowser These Files May Have Been Upgraded To Newer Versions.
